School - Based Mental Health Services...

School Based Mental Health Therapy is a relatively new concept in the mental health arena.  The idea is to provide opportunities for students and their families to come to the school for behavioral health services.  Since students can obtain services right in their own schools, they miss much less class time.  This program is overseen by Dr. Maureen White of Spanish Peaks Mental Health Center.  Schools currently served by school-based therapists are Centennial High School, East High School, South High School, Central High School, Risley International Academy of Innovation, Carlile Elementary, Pueblo Academy of Arts, Heroes K-8 Academy, Irving Elementary and Roncalli STEM Academy.
